A motivational saying taken from the words of the great sage Shammai, a contemporary of Hillel the Elder, and the father of FAFO. In our tradition, DEEDS > WORDS.
"Shammai would say: Make your Torah study a permanent fixture of your life. Say little and do much. And receive every man with a pleasant countenance." - Pirkei Avot 1:15
Lest you think Shammai was a softie just because he believed in being nice to people, it should be noted that when he wasn't teaching Torah, he worked in construction. And when some rando came up to Shammai and belittled his faith, Shammai chased him off with a yardstick. Sounds like our kind of guy.
